Architecting Reliability
I'm a DevSecOps Engineer - and I didn't start out this way.
I didn't start out in tech. My first real work was as a creator - video editing and design, freelancing with actual clients who had real deadlines and real expectations.
That's where I learned the things that don't show up on a resume: how to actually listen to what a client needs, how to deliver something reliable even under pressure, and how to communicate clearly when things go wrong.
Somewhere along the way, I got pulled toward the technical side of how things actually run. Not just building things that look good, but building things that stay up.
That curiosity turned into a full shift. I moved into DevOps and DevSecOps: AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security-first infrastructure. It felt less like starting over and more like finally finding the right tools for the same instinct - build something people can depend on.
Today, I design and ship production-grade infrastructure for SaaS startups. The medium changed. What I actually care about didn't.
Experience
DevOps Engineer, Al Nafi Cloud
Building and maintaining production-grade AWS infrastructure for SaaS clients. Cut release cycles by 40% with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, deployed containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes, and built Prometheus/Grafana monitoring that maintained 99.9% uptime.
DevOps Intern, Al Nafi International College
Started here doing RHCSA-level Linux administration and CI/CD optimization, cutting deployment time by 30% across lab environments. This is where I got hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps fundamentals for the first time.
Started as a Creator
Before infrastructure, I worked in video editing and design, freelancing with real clients. That's where I learned the fundamentals that still matter most: understanding what a client actually needs, delivering reliably, and communicating clearly through the process. I carried all of that with me into DevSecOps.
Education
RQF Level 6 Diploma, AIOps
An RQF Level 6 diploma (equivalent to a UK Bachelor's degree), covering the full progression through Levels 4 and 5 before reaching Level 6. Coursework spanned DevOps and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS), security scanning (Trivy), compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST 800-92), and applied AI/ML for data operations. Final project used a Spiking Neural Network for inference on Kubernetes infrastructure.
Intermediate (HSSC), Pre-Engineering
Foundation in Physics, Mathematics, and Pre-Engineering - the analytical base that later shaped how I approach systems and infrastructure design.
